Our admissions process is designed to provide students and families with all the information needed to begin this exciting new chapter at I.S.59Q.

Admissions Process
Our admissions process is designed to ensure a smooth and supportive transition for all new students and their families. Here’s how it works:
- Explore I.S.59Q: We encourage families to explore our website and get to know our programs, values, and offerings. Attend one of our open houses, family information nights, or virtual tours for a firsthand look at what makes our school unique.
- Application Submission: Complete the New York City Department of Education application process and designate I.S.59Q as your preferred middle school. This is done through the MySchools platform at www.myschools.nyc.
- Placement Notification: Once placement decisions are made, families will be notified via the MySchools platform. We welcome all students placed at I.S.59Q and are eager to assist with any questions regarding enrollment.
- Orientation and Family Welcome Events: Once admitted, families are invited to attend orientation events designed to provide students with a smooth transition to our school. Meet our team, learn about our school culture, and receive all the information you need for a successful start.

If you live within District 29, visit our school Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM and speak with our office staff for open enrollment.
